NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Country Music Hall of Fame inductee and legendary music producer Tony Brown is once again leaving his mark on the genre by uniting three of country music’s most compelling female voices—Lainey Wilson, Reba McEntire, and Miranda Lambert—on the powerhouse new track “Trailblazers.” More than a musical collaboration, the song celebrates the fierce, fearless women who continue to shape the sound and soul of country music and those who trailblazer before them.
“Talk about a trailblazer cutting one path at a time / Running like a dream chaser / Living on a prayer and a rhyme / You put a flag in the ground to a country sound / To the rhythm of your own highway / Talk about a trailblazer / I’m rolling down the road you paved,” they sing. The record includes shoutouts to Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline, and Tammy Wynette—honoring the powerful paths blazed by the women who came before.
“Trailblazer” was co-written by Lainey Wilson, Miranda Lambert, and Brandy Clark, with Reba McEntire serving as co-producer alongside Tony Brown and Steve Marcantonio.
Brown shares, “I’ve been keeping this one a secret for a while. I couldn’t be more excited for this song to debut at the ACM - Academy of Country Music's 60th anniversary—bringing Lainey Wilson, Reba McEntire, and Miranda Lambert together on one track feels just right. As usual, Reba, Lainey, and Miranda knocked it out of the park — and made me even more proud to be part of a song that brings such powerful voices together.”
Billboard has previously praised Brown’s legacy, writing, “Tony Brown helped define the sound of modern country music.” That legacy continues with “Trailblazers”—a record that bridges generations and celebrates the enduring spirit of women in country.
With decades of chart-topping credits to his name, Tony Brown’s resume reads like a who’s who of American music. From his early days at MCA Nashville launching the careers of iconic women in country music, to his genre-defying production style, Brown has consistently used his platform to elevate and champion female artistry. He’s the mastermind behind some of Reba McEntire’s most successful songs and albums, including “Fancy,” “Rumor Has It,” “For My Broken Heart,” “What If It’s You,” and “So Good Together.” Tony’s production legacy with Reba has left an indelible impact on both her career and the broader landscape of country music.
Produced with the same boldness and authenticity that established him as one of country music’s most influential producers, “Trailblazers” is a testament to Brown’s visionary leadership and enduring commitment to spotlighting strong female perspectives.
This fall, Tony Brown will be officially inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame on October 19, 2025, joining fellow 2025 honorees Kenny Chesney and the late June Carter Cash. The moment marks a career milestone for the trailblazing producer whose influence has shaped the very heart of the genre.
