Samantha Funderlich named new Assistant Brand Manager and Publicity Coordinator Dead Horse Branding

From Grove City to Music City


Nashville, TN (November 17, 2020) — Dead Horse Branding is excited to announce Samantha Funderlich as their new Assistant Brand Manager and Publicity Coordinator. Funderlich started with Dead Horse Branding in August and has recently moved to Nashville. Funderlich graduated from Grove City College in May with a degree in English.


While in school, Funderlich took a class in music marketing with Dr. Cedric Lewis, which is where she truly discovered her love for the music industry and decided on her career path. She spent a semester participating in the Contemporary Music Center Nashville, gaining connections and experiences to help her further her career.


At CMC, Funderlich participated in the business portion of the program, where she worked with seasoned professionals in the industry — Warren Petit (director of CMC), Luke DeJaynes (Walker Hayes, Sarabeth Taite), Jill Pickering (Jill & Kate, background vocals for Kelly Clarkson), Zach Runquist (Lee Ann Womack, Florida Georgia Line). Funderlich took on the roles of tour manager and concert producer during her program and has also worked as a talent manager (Cellar Door Records), Assistant Venue Manager (Horton Events), and Director of New Client Relations (Perkins Publicity). Her work in all areas of the music industry has created the perfect concoction of experience for Funderlich to take on her new role as the assistant brand manager and publicist.


Funderlich is ecstatic to start her new position with the company. “Working for Dead Horse Branding is more than I ever imagined doing when I pictured myself living in Nashville. I have learned more in my time with Mel and Rick than three years at Grove City gave me. The way they can see the potential in anybody and create a vision are what set them apart from every other company in the industry.”


After making a name for themselves in the entertainment industry, Melissa Core-Caballo and Rick Caballo founded Dead Horse Branding in 2015. Dead Horse Branding is an entertainment marketing and branding company based in Nashville, TN, and Sydney, AU. Dead Horse offers a wealth of services for their clients, in both the creative and business aspect of the industry.
