MUSICNSW REGIONAL PRESENTS: EPK MASTERCLASS

Nashville, Tennessee (June 2019) A strong EPK (Electronic Press Kit) is an essential part of any artist’s arsenal; it’s the best way to present yourself and your music to all levels of the industry including venues, agents, labels and media. But what is it?

In a special two-part Masterclass, Nashville/Wollongong-based music branding expert Melissa Core-Caballo will lay out everything that goes into making a kick-arse EPK, and give you personalised feedback on your own EPK’s progress.

In this first part of the Masterclass, Mel will take you through the what, why and how of building an EPK that best represents you as an artist – providing A+ examples, answering questions and giving you her initial impressions of the content you’re considering for your EPK. She will then identify areas for you to focus on before reconvening for Part 2 on 31 August.

In this second part of the Masterclass, Mel will review your updated EPK and provide feedback on the progress you’ve made. The aim of this workshop session is that each participant walk away with a strong, representative, and professional EPK that will give them their best chance of success.

The event will be hosted by Michael Simic, MusicNSW Regional Music Officer for the Southern Tablelands and surrounds. You are encouraged to send through your EPK or EPK materials in advance if you have them to michael@musicnsw.com so Mel can give preliminary feedback during the session.

Please note this is a two-part event hosted via Zoom on Aug 17 and Aug 31. We strongly recommend you attend both sessions to get the most out of it.
